To thank the healthcare workers who are doing so much in our local community of Cape Breton, I intend to donate 50 mugs as pictured below. I invite anyone who would like to designate one of these mugs to a particular individual, unit, floor, doctor’s office or facility in Cape Breton, just comment below with the details. Limit of one suggestion per CB family.
It was late January 2019 and I came down with Influenza A -H1N1. Although not Covid-19, little did I know that I would spend the next four weeks in the ICU’s of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, intubated on a respirator, and fighting for my life. During this time, my family and I received nothing but the best support and care from the most compassionate healthcare workers while I was their patient. Without this care and the treatments I received, I would not be alive today. I hope by making this donation, it will in some small way, repay these healthcare workers and caregivers for doing such a fantastic job every day. To all my ICU nurses and doctors, I am the guy who had the cast on his arm. Thanks for everything you do! Tim |
